  1. I am kinda torn on this subject. Part of me wants to see progress, and part of me says, “if they can decorate for Christmas overnight, why can’t they do the castle that way?” Perhaps, they can’t. I read recently that these accoutrements (additions) have to be hurricane proof. They are fastened tightly to the castle, and they must remain until January 2023. Glad to see the progress, and I am glad that disney doesn’t have the icon covered with scim.

  2. Two things to consider…. weather proof decor as well as the staff to put it all up overnight – not likely that there are currently that many still employed by Disney. Remember, the furloughs were deep, and callbacks were light, so there may simply not be enough staff on hand to put up all the decor at once.

    1. You are right about the lack of staff. All difficulties you experience on your vacation can be traced back to lack of staff. Transportation was terrible on our last trip. Decorating the parks was scaled back for Halloween 2020. They said Christmas decorations would come down on December 30. Thankfully, the decorations remained into January, probably due to lack of staff.

If Diz was smart, would use its new reservations system to keep the MK closed for a few days in a row, giving the “elves” enough time to execute a complete makeover of the Castle, instead of doing it in dribs and drabs. Such seasonal makeovers could also be done this way!

Oh wow? That picture on the right looks absolutely awful. It looks like some sort of over the top animation.

    I love the look!
