Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has quickly become a fan-favorite Value Resort being on the Disney Skyliner line, having Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, Cars, and The Lion King theming the resort and making kids and adults alike feel like they are in the movies, plus, the family suites give larger groups an affordable option to have more space.

Art of Animation’s main pool and largest pool on Disney property, the Big Blue Pool, has been under refurbishment recently, and now it seems that more work is being permitted by Disney at the resort. Walt Disney Imagineering has brought on Design Communications Ltd. to install graphics at the hotel. Although we are not sure exactly where in the hotel this new graphic addition is taking place, it seems possible that this permit has to do with the drawings that engulf the larger-than-life sketch pads at the front of the resort.

We recently reported that the drawings were being painted over in white to create a fresh new blank slate on the pad of paper, but of course, those notebooks need to have some magic of Disney sprinkled on them! We have seen that the drawings, however, have been going back up before the filing of this permit. Therefore the new graphics could also possibly be inputted somewhere else in the resort. At the moment we do not know where the new graphics will be installed at the resort, and these ideas are purely speculation.

The official description for the resort reads:

Be surrounded in the artistry, enchantment and magic of Walt Disney and Disney and Pixar movies. Stay at a Disney Resort hotel that invites you to explore the storybook landscapes seen in such classics as Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. From delightfully themed family suites to wondrously detailed courtyards, Disney’s Art of Animation “draws” you and your family in to become a part of some of your animated favorites.

What do you think the new permit is for at the Art of Animation Resort? Is there anything you would like to see changed?
