Universal is gearing up to kick off their yearly Mardi Gras event. This year the event will focus on food and be called, Mardi Gras 2021: International Flavors of Carnaval. We are so excited for the event to kick off tomorrow, February 6, but the Tribute Store opened up a little early today for guests visiting Universal Studios. Some guests noticed that Universal is spotlighting small local businesses inside the tribute store.
Universal fan @braddrinks took to Twitter to share some images from the inside of the Tribute Store, one of those showed us that the Orlando based small business Magic Candle Company has items that can be purchased inside the store!
The Tribute Store is always a hit for guests visiting Universal during special events. Universal typically puts up the Tribute Store for Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras, and last year was the first Tribute Store for the holiday season. We love seeing Universal highlight local business at a retail location that will see a lot of foot traffic!

You can see that Magic Candle Company has special scents that tie into the Mardi Gras theme perfectly. We cannot wait to smell them ourselves! If you cannot make it to Mardi Gras this year don’t worry, check out the official website for Magic Candle Company! They masterfully recreate scents from all of your favorite theme park memories.
Heading to Universal soon? Here are some things to keep in mind. Volcano Bay is reopening to Guests on February 27! Remember that Universal does not have an online reservation system like Disney so the parks could reach capacity. You can still enter the theme parks once they reach capacity if you are staying at a Universal resort hotel.
