Universal Orlando Resort has often reached capacity since it has reopened to Guests. Capacity limits are often hit on weekends and holidays due to high demand in combination with the modified capacity that the resort’s theme parks are currently holding. That being said, even if Universal hits capacity there is still one way that you can enter the park!
We recently reported that Universal is anticipating crowds for a longer Spring Break season coming up this year. Additionally, Universal’s special yearly event for Mardi Gras also kicks off this weekend starting February 6, and it is likely that will be a big draw for fans! With all of the crowds that could descend upon Universal, here is what you need to know about capacity and which Guests can still enter the park once capacity is reached.
If you are staying at a Universal resort hotel and have your room key, you are able to enter the theme parks — even if they hit capacity. From my personal experience, I can confirm that all adults in your party will need to have a room key so be sure to ask for as many copies as needed at the front desk upon check-in! (You don’t want to have to send someone all the way back to the hotel to get another room key!) You can use the Universal Orlando Resort Capacity Hotline at 407-817-8317 to get live updates on the status of both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
You do not need an online reservation in order to enter Universal Orlando Resort. Just be sure you have a valid theme park ticket for everyone planning to visit. Universal Orlando Resort currently has incredible deals on hotels and Annual Passes right now, click here for more information!
You can read more about Universal’s policies from their official website here, it’s a good idea to take a look at this page before you begin your Universal vacation!
