    “Lindsey is a true ‘Disnerd!'”

You don’t have to tell us that, we KNOW, from your making Armchair Imagineer posts that want to tear up old Walt-era attractions for new fangirl movies…What did you think the word meant? 🙂

    1. Thanks for the comment. A nerd can dream, yes? I’ll stick to the armchair part, and maybe the costume design. Have a great day!

While I can’t speak for Disney World, I’ve been saying for a long time that the Disneyland Autopia should be replaced with a Sugar Rush raceway. California Adventure has the Radiator Springs Racers and, while the Autopia still attracts riders, it’s line queue is remarkably short by comparison. There were originally two Autopias at DL (A Fantasyland Junior Autopia and the current Tomorrowland Autopia) so it might even be possible for Sugar Rush and the Autopia to coexist. In any event, I think Sugar Rush would revitalize Tomorrowland and also provide Disney with a wide variety of new merchandise to market. I envision every kid in Tomorrowland carrying one of those big spiral suckers that used to be so popular.

    1. I agree on the revitalization. What fun the “tech” aspect could be, too!

I very much agree that the Tomorrowland Speedway at Magic Kingdom does need a little extra something. A Sugar Rush revamp could work, if done right of course.

    1. I didn’t even think about the trees!! Peppermint DOUBLE STRIPE additions! 🙂

    2. Totally. Lots of thought needed, but I think the update is MUCH deserved.

I need this to happen!! It would just be so good. Autopia would work great too with all of its foliage perfect for turning into candy.

    1. I didn’t even think about the trees. What a perfect addition!

Yes, the speedway needs to go. It stinks. I too was hoping when it closed for Tron is was not coming back, then sadly it did.

  6. Yes it would be great I ask disney world for a few year about sugar rush attraction there make it like the movie would be a hit ride and also put a wreck-it Ralph coaster in Tomorrowland area make the coaster game station ride put King candy and wreck-it Ralph building in it make a game attraction

  7. Hi there! I read this article in February when you posted it, and thought it was funny, I’m an Illustration student, and this exact concept is what I’ve been working on as a concept art thesis for a very long time (since late 2019). I’m creating an entire production bible with the very intent to pitch it. I’m not surprised someone else thought of the same thing, great minds think alike.
