Just looking at the gondola system, I can’t help but come to the conclusion that is most definitely NOT to get guests from land to land BUT to get guests from the major hub of the existing Universal Resort out to the Epic Universe site and back. This will keep all those extra cars off the streets that would be needed for shuttles and keep the tourist dollars flowing to Universal and not to the various businesses people would pass by going from part of the Resort to the next.
