Disney World is always updating and innovating — as Walt likely would have wanted. Recently, Disney has filed another patent for work on the beloved Disney Deluxe Resort hotel, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
A permit was filed for “General Construction” under contractor Bruns Inc., a company that, according to their website, seems to deal with structural design more than interior design work. However, Disney has yet to announce what refurbishment changes are coming to Wilderness Lodge, so, therefore, we don’t know exactly what to expect. These changes may be small or large, but the extremity of the changes will not be made more clear until we start to see construction break ground.

About Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
If you are thinking about staying at Disney’s Wildnerness Lodge, but are unsure if it is the right Disney Resort for you, our official guide to the resort will give you all of the details you need.
Not only will Wilderness Lodge act as your serene nature-filled getaway from the hustle and bustle of the parks, but also you are actually a lot closer to the magic than you may think. A Disney water ferry runs to and from the Magic Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge all day, so you can get a picturesque ride over to Cinderella Castle, and also avoid large crowds that the Monorail draws in since the boat is solely for Wilderness Lodge Resort Guests.
From the moment you step inside the sky-high lobby full of theming that represents the national parks of America’s Great Northwest, the grandeur will instantly steal your heart. Plus, the food options are just as mouthwatering as the architecture is jaw-dropping.
Whispering Canyon Café and Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White are two fantastic table service meals, with the first representing a more playful atmosphere (if you want to know what I mean, just ask your server for Ketchup), and the second, a delicious character dining experience.
If you want quick service, Geyser Point Bar & Grill will give you views of Seven Seas Lagoon, and the classic Wilderness Lodge Geyser — it also will give you access to the best bison burger on property, or head to Roaring Fork for your more classic style Disney Resort quick-service meal.
Wilderness Lodge is also home to Boulder Ridge and the Copper Creek Villas and Cabins — which are some of the more luxurious accommodations on all of Disney World property.
