As we all know, 2020 has changed the American lifestyle in a number of ways.
Just a year ago, for example, very few — if any — of us in the United States could have imagined face masks becoming such a standard part of our everyday lives. Now, however, many states have mask mandates in order to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Even Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort (it’s partially open areas, at least) require face masks for all Guests age 2 and over.
One of the states with the strictest mask mandates and COVID-19 restrictions is California. If you’ve been following the Disneyland reopening saga, you’re undoubtedly aware of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy and Governor Gavin Newsom’s latest regional stay-at-home order.
This order impacts most of Southern California, including Orange County which is where Anaheim is, and West Hollywood in Los Angeles County. The City of West Hollywood has decided to take matters into their own hands with a new mask-wearing social media campaign that features none other than the hit Disney+ Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.

On Twitter, the City’s official account posted a new mask wearing video showcasing Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu (AKA “The Child” AKA “Baby Yoda”). The caption reads:
This goes out to all the anti-maskers… wear a F@#%!N’ mask!

The new West Hollywood face mask campaign also features the iconic Star Wars font. The official description of the video reads:
Masks Are The Way: A Public Service Announcement
This short video PSA series is targeted at ‘Young Invincibles’ and aims to raise awareness about the importance of simply wearing a mask to protect themselves and others from the spread of COVID-19.
What do you think about this California public service announcement featuring Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s popular Disney+ series? Are you a fan of The Mandalorian?
