Any day where we see a new animal arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a good day and if you’re visiting the park at Walt Disney World anytime soon you will see a whole host of new Nigerian Dwarf Goats when you ride Kilimanjaro Safaris.
The team at the park have recently added a new species of Nigerian dwarf goats to the end of the experience, just as the journey through Harambe Wildlife Reserve comes to an end you will be treated to the miniature West African goats as they clamber over the warden’s outpost.
The goats obviously come originally from Nigeria where they are considered to be high value because of the high protein that can be found in their sweet milk. In Nigerian villages, they are able to support the people with the milk and there is less need for the villages to rely on wildlife, which helps to keep habitats protected.

The reason the goats have been put at the Warden’s outpost is that it is on the edge of the reserve and echos the way that both humans and animals can live together in harmony.
