It appears that while the iconic Minnie Vans are out of service, the rideshare company Lyft, and others, are still operating on Walt Disney World Resort Property.
In the latest email sent by Disney Destinations, which covered the modified offerings at Disney World, one of our reporters noticed that Disney was still advertising Lyft.
Check it out:
With this in mind, we wanted to remind all would-be and current Disney World Guests that while the partnered Minnie Van service has been shuttered since the reopening — and some were seen being sold at car dealerships — Lyft is still able to operate on Disney property. Rideshare services like Lyft and Uber can transport Guests to and from Orlando International Airport, any off-property location, the Disney Parks, and their Disney Resort Hotel.
Disney World has confirmed that rideshare companies like Lyft are still able to operate on-property, and that includes resort-to-park transportation. Even though it comes with a higher cost, calling a Lyft or an Uber could be a more efficient way to get around Disney World property, as they allow you to avoid the long lines that have been forming for complimentary transportation options like the buses and Disney Skyliner.
Guests can also call the Walt Disney World help center or ask the Cast Members at the front desk of their Resort Hotel for the latest information regarding Disney transportation.
We at Inside the Magic will also continue to keep our ears to the ground, updating our readers on the latest Disney Park transportation information as it comes to light.
