Here is what Shanghai Disney had to say about receiving these awards, and how they got to this pivotal point in wellness care for their Cast Members:

The health and well-being of our cast members remains a top priority for Shanghai Disney Resort. Whether they are at work or at home, cast members have access to a variety of resources for their professional and personal needs and growth, while exclusive programs help cast members build healthier lifestyles. Cast members may also enjoy special events recognizing their dedicated work making magic for guests each day.

Honored by Mercer China, a leading professional consulting firm in employee health in China, the 2020-2021 Mercer China Healthiest Workplace recipients were selected from 223 organizations covering 25 industries across China through a series of comprehensive surveys and assessments from leading health management experts.

Despite Shanghai Disney Resort closing down during the pandemic it has since reopened and is continuing to operate daily.

Recently Shangai Disney Resort President Joe Schott explained how the resort has managed to have continued success despite the global pandemic.

We started with having to reimagine the guest experience. As you think about the entry pattern and other things that we needed to do differently, we had to prioritize the safety and health of our guests and cast while still preserving a really magical experience along the way.

We had to make changes daily. We’d have conversations a couple of times a day and then regroup each night.
