Give Kids The World is currently running a nighttime spectacular holiday spectacle called Night of A Million Lights, and Jodi Benson is there singing Christmas carols!

If you are a fan of Ariel from The Little Mermaid, you surely know her voice. “Part of Your World” singer Jodi Benson has one of the most iconic Disney princess voices that Disney fans love, so being able to hear her sing at the amazing holiday event Give Kids the World is currently showcasing is a Christmas miracle! Jodi is a frequent volunteer at Give Kids the World as well, having helped out with past fundraisers for the Village.Â

Thanks to Denise at Mousesteps, we can watch this Twitter video throughout the holiday season, and if we close our eyes, it’s just like we are listening to Ariel celebrate the holiday season. Denise even points out that you can tell Jodi is trying to get the crowd to join in, but guests are just so in awe of her performance that they don’t want to interrupt. After listening, I totally understand why — Jodi Benson sounds amazing.

In case you are wondering what Give Kids The World is, they are a nonprofit that gives kids who are sick the opportunity of a lifetime. Their website descibes the Village as the following:
“An 89-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families.
The Village and its community partners provide children and their families accommodations in fully-furnished villas, transportation, tickets to theme parks, meals, daily entertainment and much more.
Each year 27,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with a critical illness. Half of all children eligible for a wish through a partnering wish-granting organization choose to visit Central Florida and its collection of theme parks and other attractions.
Our goal, quite simply, is to provide everything these deserving families need to make their trip the vacation of a lifetime. Since 1986, more than 176,000 children and families have had their dreams fulfilled in a whimsical Village unlike any other place on earth.”

Disney World actually donated over 3,000,000 lights to Give Kids The World for this event to help raise money for the Village so that they can continue to being magic into children’s lives! Night of A Million Lights is an event that runs,
“From Friday, November 13, through Sunday, January 3, Night of a Million Lights will transform Give Kids The World’s whimsical storybook Village into a dazzling winter wonderland. More than three million glittering lights will immerse guests in a festive kaleidoscope of sights and sounds, including a shimmering 150-foot tunnel leading to 45 exquisitely decorated wish family residential villas; more than 50 larger-than-life holiday-themed wireframe displays; an enchanting, incandescent gingerbread arch; and out-of-this-world space-themed decor adorning the Village’s delectable new centerpiece, Henri’s Starlite Scoops.
Admission for guests of all ages includes complimentary ice cream and hot cocoa, as well as unlimited access to the Village’s wheelchair-accessible rides and attractions, lavishly decked out for the holidays. Additional food and beverages, as well as special edition holiday merchandise – including 3D glasses that will bring every magnificent bulb to life – will be available for purchase. An appearance by Santa and other special surprises will make this Central Florida’s most beloved new holiday tradition!
Night of a Million Lights will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, with staggered entry times to promote social distancing. Mask wearing will be required for all guests.”
Tickets for the event range from $25 -$40 per adult and $15 – $20 per child, depending on the date. The best thing about this admission cost is that you know the money is going right back to help Give Kids the World! Tonight is a special event which is likely why Jodi Benson was there singing, so this is not something you can expect all of the time, but the stunning lights will surely make up for it!
