Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf at the EPCOT Resort area is temporarily closed from now until January 31st, 2021.
This closure was quiet and happened as Winter Summerland Mini Golf opened for the Christmas season over at Blizzard Beach.
Disney did not give an official reason as to the reason for the closure but an Inside the Magic reporter drove by yesterday and it is clear that there is a lot of construction going on with the new hotel tower being built for The Swan and Dolphin.
Resembling a traditional golf course built on a miniature scale, this course emphasizes skill over chance. Sand traps, bunkers, water hazards and sloping greens make the Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf Course an exciting challenge, where par-3 and par-5 holes range in length from 63 to 109 feet long.
As you putt, enjoy the dramatic backdrop of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.
The new tower for the Swan and Dolphin called, The Swan and Dolphin Reserve, is moving quickly on construction. Construction is now spilling out into the parking lot it shares with Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf as the hotel gets nearer to completion.
No word from Disney on if the construction on The Swan and Dolphin Reserve will spark refurbishments to Fantasia Mini Golf during the closure.
