A simple but very exciting development has arrived at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney! We have seen photos of new signage and directions on how to use a mobile checkout at World of Disney.
Thanks to Disney fan and reporter @thecalibae on Instagram we got a look at how to use this exciting new feature.
The post reads:
New mobile check out has arrived at world of disney!! Two stations have been placed at world of disney entrance and exit. The ap discount is applied through the app if your ap is still active if not go to the cashier instead for the discount.
It is great to know that you can get your AP discount applied using this new method of checkout within the Disneyland app. But really the best part of this is not having to stand in line at a potentially crowded store this holiday season!
This system will presumably be in place when Disneyland Resort reopens its theme parks, but we’ll report back if Disney announces anything. Could this fabulously automated way to cash out at World of Disney come to Disney World soon? As someone that lives in Orlando, I certainly hope so!
As you may know, Disneyland is continuing on with its reopening efforts despite not being able to fully reopen the theme parks. Disneyland has not seen any Guests for 8 months, but recently Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure has reopened for shopping and dining only. No attractions have reopened at Disney California Adventure, but if you are craving a Disney park experience and you cannot travel to Walt Disney World, a visit to BVS is a treat! You can read our full guide to the reopening of Buena Vista Street here.

If you are planning your trip to Downtown Disney to get holiday shopping done remember that Disney recently extended its hours! Despite curfews in place by the California government, Downtown Disney will be staying open later to accommodate all of its Guests. At this time, the hours are from 9 am to 9 pm daily.
Will you be trying this new mobile checkout? Let us know in the comments!
