‘Tis the season to be… jolly?
With Halloween just a few days away, Disneyland Resort is already thinking ahead to the holiday season! In fact, World of Disney in Downtown Disney has already begun decking the halls with boughs of holly.
The 2020 holiday merchandise line, including this adorable candy cane themed Loungefly backpack, is beginning to roll out, and World of Disney also brought out the strings of garland and lights, which you can see in the photo below.
Instagram user @paulsthemeparkadventures also posted this short video to social media, showing that World of Disney is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Though the theme parks cannot open in California until the state reaches Tier 4 (Yellow/Minimal), Disney California Adventure recently announced they would be partially opening Buena Vista Street just for select shopping and dining experiences. Some of these experiences include holiday shopping at select retail locations including Elias & Co., Julius Katz & Sons, and Kingswell Camera Shop as well as snacks being offered at select locations including Trolley Treats, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe, and more snack stands.
At this time, Disney had not officially announced that Disney California Adventure will be decorating for the holidays, though they did say the select locations would be open for holiday shopping. And with World of Disney already decking out the halls, we may be surprised and see holiday cheer spread throughout Buena Vista Street as well. The promotional image for the Buena Vista Street experience did feature holiday decorations on one of the shops, so we’re holding out hope that we’re going to get some Christmas cheer soon!
