Disney is making sure that the Most Magical Place on Earth is also one of the safest. Official mask guidelines, coupled with social distancing in queues and on transportation mean that Cast Members are doing everything they can and encouraging the public to do the same. As you’re planning your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort, you may need to make a phone call. While you wait, you’ll hear an additional safety announcement added to the hold music. Here’s what it says…

Disney Adds Safety Announcement

When Guests are calling Walt Disney World’s many hotlines, they will hear a safety announcement looped in between other Parks announcements and classic theme park tunes. The “voiceover lady” making the many announcements gently chimes in to remind you of the Disney Parks Pass program, the PhotoPass opportunities, and most important, safety precautions. The announcement, which you can listen to below, says:

“Thanks for calling Walt Disney World Resort. Please know we’ve made updates based on guidance from health authorities. These updates have been implemented to promoted enhanced cleaning, physical distancing, and reduced contact. Face coverings are required for all Guests ages two and up and cast members.

Please bring your own face covering and wear them at all times except when dining or swimming. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you should be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.

All face coverings must fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin. Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face, and be secured with ties or ear loops, and allow the guest to remain hands-free. Please visit the Know Before You Go page on Disneyworld.com.”

Once a Guest arrives to visit Walt Disney World Resort, masks will be checked upon entry, but that’s not where the buck stops. As reported earlier, Disney has placard signs placed in various locations around the Parks, as well as Disney Springs. The new warning on the signs reads,

Guests not properly wearing an approved mask will be asked to leave

In addition to this sign, a new audio recording is playing in the parks about every 15-20 minutes. With the aforementioned requirements regarding face masks, the additional signage, and the safety announcement via hold music, Disney is making sure that all Guests are aware of the new guidelines as soon as possible.
