Walt Disney World Resort opens for an Annual Passholder preview at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 9th and 10th with the quick-to-follow general admission opening date of July 11th, 2020. Disney fans are eager to get back to the magic, but we’ve been watching other worldwide Disney Parks reopening with social distancing measures such as temperature screenings, social distancing markers, and new reservation systems. The newest visual element to pop up is what appears to be social distancing markers at the Magic Kingdom touchpoints, right outside the main gate.

Social Distancing Markers Added to Magic Kingdom

On Twitter, Bioreconstruct shared some aerial photos of the Magic Kingdom gates. It appeared that trashcans may be used to help direct the flow of traffic around the new and fresh Mickey floral mural right below the railroad station on Main Street, U.S.A. What’s even more interesting is that Twitter user @ScottGustin added another layer to the preparing Disney Park in what appears to be social distancing markers at the touch points to Magic Kingdom Park.

You can see the white tape marks (assumably the same tape marks used during parades and other Magic Kingdom events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party) at about six-foot intervals to assist families and guests with social distancing. We can only assume we will see other helpful tape marks inside the Parks to help us stay safe while having fun.
