It looks like Walt Disney World Cast Members, participating employees, and their families will get free COVID-19 tests.
According to the website disneycovid19test.com, “Testing is currently available at the following location for Disney cast members, Operating Participant employees and family members. Family members are defined as spouses, domestic partners, parents, and children.”
The website also states that “Testing locations use a self-administered nasal swab test that allows you to swab your own nose while in your vehicle, supervised by trained medical personnel. Results are delivered within 3-5 business days. You will receive an email notification when results are available. Once you receive the email, return to this site and logon to view and print your lab report.”

COVID-19 Tests have been extensively disputed between The Walt Disney Company and its Cast Members. Actors Equity Association–the Union representing several of Walt Disney World’s stage performers–most notably stood very vocal against the mega-resort for not providing testing for Cast Members.

Until now, Disney has seemingly dug its heels in refusing to provide testing. Now, it appears the company has not only changed its mind on the subject but also opened up testing for Cast Members’ families as well.
Recently we have shared stories that have shown Disney to be more and more receptive to the requests and needs of its Cast Members. Walt Disney World Cast Members are continuing to see requests met in some capacity, and the Disneyland Resort announced that all returning Cast Members will receive a special health and safety care package upon arrival.

As of now, this testing is only for Walt Disney World Cast Members, occurring at Disney Maingate Complex (3010 Maingate Ln Kissimmee, FL 34747). It is also easy to speculate that testing will also be provided to Disneyland’s Cast Members shortly. Only time will tell at this point.
Disney also further clarified the testing in a statement:
Disney has issued a statement about the reported Actors’ Equity union agreement. It does not confirm they have come to an agreement, but it clarifies information about the COVID-19 testing site: pic.twitter.com/ltD2rFLQby
