Lace-up your witch boots and ready your spells. The evilest runDisney event is running virtually, and now you can run from home, too.
The 2020 Wine and Dine Half Marathon filled up leftover virtual slots on July 30th for those that didn’t sign up for the now-canceled, in-person event. The virtual races will be much like the summer 5k virtual series (modeled after Theme Park attractions) and offer running bibs, mile markers, collectible shirts, and of course, that race bling we’re always trying to collect. The Virtual Disney Marathon Race kits are now live!

The 2020 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend powered by AfterSHOKZ finally has the evil theme we’ve been calling for all these years. With the shuttering of Club Villain during the Halloween months, this new twist is especially welcome as a virtual event. The regular in-person race event at Walt Disney World Resort is canceled, so all registered participants have the opportunity to transfer their registration to the new virtual version of the race weekend.
Previously registered Guests of the 2020 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend have until August 5 to choose if they would like to participate in the virtual event or may opt for a refund instead.
Virtual Disney Wine & Dine Races Themes and Swag
If you have not registered for the fall event (or missed out because of the distance, etc.) Thursday gives you the limited opportunity to participate in the Wickedly Delicious Virtual Disney Wine & Dine event. The race themes include:
- Kronk and Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove | Disney Wine & Dine 5K
- Ursula from The Little Mermaid | Disney Wine & Dine 10K
- The Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs | Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon
- Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas | Two Course Challenge
- Captain Hook and Smee from Peter Pan | runDisney Kids Races
Each terribly fun finisher medal for the Virtual Disney Wine & Dine races include the same themes as above but in bewitching colors and graphics.
Runners will each receive an event shirt made of performance tech materials, themed to each event as they run at home on their favorite running trail.
Just like the summer virtual series, at home runners can also enhance their virtual race option with free printable bibs, mile markers, a themed music playlist (no other Disney entertainment or characters included), finisher certificate, and more.
These are now populated on the race page. Registered runners can download theirs by heading to the “Manage Account” section on the runDisney website. From the dashboard, click on “Your Registrations” and select Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. You can also run along with these official playlists on Apple Music and Spotify.
The Disney Parks Blog also has stickers to save and print to claim your fame when crossing the finish line. All races and villains are included in the collection.
