We’re still crazy about pin trading!

Back in March when each Disney Park closed down (including Walt Disney World Resort), avid Disney Parks Pin traders were saddened at the thought of not being able to swap, purchase or admire Disney pins at the Parks.

Inside the Magic shared news of limited edition trading pins becoming available on shopDisney and we were so glad to hear you liked it! Several other limited-edition drops such as 2020 Easter Disney Parks Castle Pins as well as Earth Day offerings in April made the weekly pin trading event, but later in May and June, several Thursdays went by with no limited-edition drops.

shopDisney has resumed offering these pin drops each week, even as the Parks reopened (the online sales were a perk in the meantime, and we weren’t sure they would stay), so Inside the Magic fans can once again start browsing shopDisney, including this coming Thursday, July 30th for these 2020 July Disney Parks trading pins releases!

New this month are some fun character options like buddies Ducky, Bunny, and Forky from Toy Story 4, the Gummi Bears from the Disney Afternoon TV schedule, and an Orange Bird Disney trading pin poised on blue trues that will have Adventureland fans squee-ing. We’re feeling Forky’s mood that “I’m just happy to be here.” It’s a sentiment that runs deeper than it seems!

Goofballs get a leg up in this small preview sample. Muppets fans will laugh at the chance to get the “a-peeling” Fozzie Bear pin, and deep cut cult classic Kida fans know that she’s not featured often. This is a must-collect pin! Hei Hei continues his appearances on Disney Parks Pin Trading items with the “What’s up Coconut?” edition.

Star Wars fans have their own pin drop this week, featuring Leia, a Parks Exclusive from Black Spire Outpost, R2D2, and Rose Tico. The “Rise of the Resistance” frame series hasn’t yet been seen, but we love the girl power it’s already featuring. The R2D2 pin has a hinge, and we’re hoping it either opens to a full-color version or perhaps another hidden droid trading pin.

Classic characters reign supreme, as always, and we see a similarly framed Old Hag and Ursula pins, hinting at a Villains pin set unless you look carefully at the above Kida pin, which offers a similar frame! What does this full series look like? We wish there was a pin trading sheet to check! Hercules catches a discus with his personal signature riding high. This is a fun one for field sports fans that enjoy ultimate frisbee, and perhaps hints at an Olympics collection?

These flip-open pins aren’t new to the shopDisney trading pin releases. Goofy’s walk down Main Street U.S.A. issued a few weeks ago to start celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Disney Pin Trading. The ensemble continues with two more hinged pins with acrylic jewel toppers. Dale and Daisy make up this week’s releases.

Keep grabbing the Thursday releases, as these new classics debut on July 30th, 2020 with the next pin release. The last of the July Disney parks trading pins look to be capping off a collectible month with more additions coming in August.

Remember, authentic Disney pins will come from either shopDisney, an in-parks pin event, or perhaps be traded to you by a Disney Cast Member or another pin collector. You can often find a pin trading location in each Disney Park, often at a pin board or Disney store location. Enjoy your trading and we’ll see ya real soon in August for the next drop.
