Disneyland Resort has officially updated their face mask guidelines to clarify exactly when and where Guests are allowed to remove their face coverings.
According to the most recent guidelines as they are written on the Disneyland Resort website, “Guests may remove their face covering while actively eating or drinking outside, stationary and maintaining appropriate physical distancing from others.”
Note that the official guidelines for appropriate face coverings are listed on the Downtown Disney web page under the Experience Updates section of the Disneyland Resort website. Once Disneyland Resort adds more information pertaining to Experience Updates for the theme parks and hotels, we are sure that the same face coverings policy will apply.
Note that at this time, Downtown Disney is the only part of Disneyland Resort that is open. The shopping, dining, and entertainment district has been welcoming Guests since July 9, and its phased reopening has continued this week.
Disney has not yet officially announced the reopening date for Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. You can read our Disneyland Resort reopening FAQ here.
This update to the Disneyland Resort face coverings policy coincides with the same update at Walt Disney World Resort. You can read more here.
We hope everyone who plans to visit Downtown Disney stays safe and abides by the guidelines Disneyland Resort has set in place for the well-being of all Guests and Cast Members.
