Walt Disney World Resort’s new theme park reservation system is officially up and running today. At around 7 a.m. on June 22, 2020, Guests with a Disney Resort or select hotel reservation were able to log onto the Disney World website and attempt to claim their days in the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Inside the Magic reported at the start of the day that Guests reported Disney’s reservation system having crashed, and causing several Guests to wait hours to secure their reservations. But despite the tumultuous start and the long waits, reservations are being secured and Guests are sharing their thoughts throughout the process.
Below we have included some Guest reactions based on comments shared with Inside the Magic, as well as on Twitter and the Walt Disney World Subreddit.
Some Guests are sharing their positive and negative experiences with the new Disney Park Pass system:
“I logged on at 7:30 this morning and it was 2 1/2 hours before I could make Park reservations – the reservation process was smooth and I had no problems booking the parks for our party of 6. Don’t refresh or go back when you see the castle – it is a waiting game but once to the actual reservation screen it’s all good.”
“Got in and no available dates September 1-8. Guess not going this year!!!!”
“Meanwhile, the IT officials at Universal are laughing hysterically.”
“Success!! We got everything we wanted! Let the countdown begin!”

“Got through finally on the park reservation system for Disney and booked our parks for December!! Woohoo!!”

Other Guests are sharing advice with each other:
“Chrome Incognito! Worked better than other browsers for many people as per a forum I follow. Proved true for us. My daughter was on her PC using regular Chrome. Son was on phone using Safari. I was on my phone using Chrome Incognito. I got to log in sooner and make all of our ressies, even tho my daughter had been logged in for over an hour before me!”
“It works, stop exiting and refreshing. I got in from the castle screen it took about 45 minutes. Patience people.”
If you are having trouble getting passed the Pink Castle page, here is one trick shared on Reddit:
Only Guests with Disney Resort and select hotel Guests will be able to make theme park reservations until June 26, 2020, when the system opens up to Annual Passholders.
