Credit: DisneyWe’re receiving more information on what certain features will look like as we reach the finals weeks before the Walt Disney World Resort reopens. Walt Disney World releases information like this is great to know before heading to the parks to ensure the health and safety of yourself and other Guests, as well as having everyone still be able to experience the magic of the Disney Parks. A PhotoPass photographer will still be able to offer Disney guests photos from inside Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT even though we may not be able to hug Mickey and Minnie as we’ve see happen at both Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland. Disney PhotoPass has even shared free magical images on both the Walt Disney World app and Disneyland app for us.
PhotoPass Experience
It was announced a few weeks ago that if Guests ask Cast Members to take their photo using their own devices, Disney PhotoPass Photographers will have to turn them down. In order to keep social distancing and health protocols in tact, the Walt Disney World Resort has rolled out more information as to what your Disney PhotoPass opportunity will look like upon reentering the parks. These PhotoPass moments will still be a magical Disney experience, but some of the new procedures will require the help of guests to keep it the Most Magical Place on Earth!
New PhotoPass Procedure
Below is the statement from the Walt Disney World Resort.
To promote cleanliness, physical distancing and reduced contact, you will notice some temporary adjustments to Disney PhotoPass Service to provide an enjoyable environment for everyone:
- Handling Guest’s Personal Devices: Disney PhotoPass photographers will not handle Guests’ personal devices such as cellphones and cameras.
- Photo Prop Usage: Where photo props are in use, they will be thoroughly cleaned between Guests. For select props, your photographer may request that you stand next to or behind the prop without making contact with it. In these scenarios, your photographer will endeavor to capture your photos with the best angles and perspective in mind.
- Photo Linking: Before the photographer takes your photo, please have your MagicBand or Card ready for the photographer to scan so they can quickly link your photos to your account. Photographers will keep as much distance as possible during this process.
