Spring and Summer Dapper Day 2020 events have been in danger ever since March’s unplanned closures of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The group had thoughtfully planned an April #DapperDayAtHome that had throngs of fans posting Instagram photos of them dressed to the nines at home, or reliving past Dapper Day trips to the Disney Parks. This certainly stemmed the boredom of Stay-At-Home, but we were looking forward to hearing about Summer 2020.
Dapper Day had initially replanned the Disneyland annual Expo for June in hopes that throngs of supporters would come to mingle, shop, and dress up. Sadly, it has come to pass that even this postponed June event must too, be cancelled.
Following up on the June Events, Dapper Day sent an email to their subscribers overnight telling them of the sad news due to the Disneyland Resort maintaining their closure through June of 2020. They have been discussing future possibilities with Disney and they are hoping to yet again reschedule a small event for August, even if the Parks are not yet open to full capacity. Of course, government guidelines will dictate more as things develop. This potential small even would be held at a Disney Resort and include a limited number of exhibitors instead of the full swinging band and dances.
Spring/ Summer Dapper Day Refunds
There is no “new news” regarding rescheduled summer events, as schedules have been in flux and things are still unfolding. Dapper Day directs their followers, instead, to Fall events on each coast. The writers of the notice include their thoughts that when the Parks do reopen, “initial admission will be limited in some way as Disneyland did with the opening of ‘Galaxy’s Edge’, where Disney hotel guests were given priority.” If you need information on Expo pass refunds for the Disneyland June event, please visit the Dapper Day Events website here for directions regarding passes, refunds, transfers, or cancellations.
Room Refunds and Rebookings
Dapper Day conveys that “all convention-rate Disneyland Resort hotel reservations for June are in the process of being cancelled and refunded as of May 8, 2020. Expect to receive a cancellation email from Disney early next week.” It will not be possible to transfer funds to a new date, so simply cancel your reservation and rebook to a later November date.
