The Walt Disney World Resort remains closed with no official reopening date. While we are all eagerly awaiting the news of the resort reopening, we’re excited about the phased re-opening of Disney Springs, a great start to the process.
In the meantime, some construction has resumed at the theme parks, including at the on-property McDonalds restaurant located adjacent to the All-Star Disney Resorts, located close to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and southwest of the resort.
During a recent drive-by, we noticed the restaurant is near completion, and looking very spiffy and ready to welcome guests once the resort announces the re-opening!
This McDonald’s restaurant, located on West Buena Vista Drive, is a popular option for visiting guests who might want a quick and familiar bite. The menu is similar to your neighborhood McDonald’s, albeit with some moderate Disney pricing increases. Not surprising given the restaurant’s location. However, it’s still a great bang-for-your-buck option when visiting the most magical place on earth. And who doesn’t love some McD’s fries? Yum!
The restaurant renovation was a complete overhaul to what it used to look like. The new architectural details are very modern-industrial, with exposed beams and a possible eco-friendly approach to the paneling. With its very distinctive look, this reimagined McDonald’s will be a destination for fans that want to visit a unique-looking storefront. It even has a very relaxed lounge-looking outside seating area and what appeared to be two exercise bikes installed outside.
No official reopening date, other than a sign that stated they were scheduled to open sometime in 2020.
