That would be an awesome thank you for sure! I will gladly let someone whom deserves it! I rather see them get it then all the people whom think bc i paid for a vacation i am privileged! Can i also add teachers and staff bc as a daughter to an Assist Principal they have been doing alot to try to transition into unknown worlds and still take care of things and teach the kids they are their own heros!

I absolutely think they should have first access. They put their lives on the line to care for those who where sick. Thank you to all health care workers and first responders.

As a nurse, I agree with you. Teachers are my heroes because without them we couldn’t be who we are today.

How is it that after a couple months of a pandemic we all forget that sacrifices made my the military members everyday even when there is no out break. Service members are literally putting themselves in the line of fire for months or years.

uhhh it was a job you signed up for. If they want to give discount and what not then good, but they are not required. Nor should you expect free stuff or a thank you. If they do then that’s a bonus and say thank you to them!!!

He is not expecting free stuff, a discount, a thank you nor is he saying anything about it being required. He is stating we should not forget that we have soldiers who put their lives at risk on the DAILY, pandemic or NO pandemic. All of them fight for ALL the people here, even you. So yes, you should be thankful. And yes we should be thankful for our nurses and doctors as well. A thank you is the LEAST we could do for these people as well as not being ungrateful and rude as you have been.

Shame on you! Healthcare workers chose their job as well. They CHOOSE to be around people who are hurt, SICK, etc. You must be one of those people who have never sacrificed for others. FREEDOM isn’t FREE, it comes off the blood and sweat of those who who volunteer! You are in I.D.I.O.T!!

Everybody’s a hero.geez.i am ex military and one thing I hate hearing is some idiot thanking me for my service.i voluntarily joined without expectation of a pat on the back. My wife is a 30 year teacher. SHE is a my true 1st line responder since she deals with everyone’s kids everyday

Yes, we should honor the military. Maybe give them their own resort? Oh, Shades of Green already was built?
Well, then we can give a discount? Oh, most places already do that.
How about a national holiday? Oh, we already have Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Armed Forces Day…
Well, maybe we can just do something nice for nurses and not get into “whataboutism”?

My husband works in a skilled nursing facility and we were planning on taking our 5 month old son to Disneyland for the first time on March 20th, but Covid had other plans for us, instead he’s only been able to hold his son a couple times in months. We can’t wait to start making happier memories as a family!

lol, this is a joke right, it’s literally their job. Most of the places saw few cases, NY being the worst. I not gonna clap every time someone heals me of the flu.

I work in healthcare and it’s scary everytime I have to suit up and face it. But it’s my job and I don’t feel like a hero for it. I signed up for it during a pandemic or not. Just like the military signs up for it war or not. To me the real heroes are the grocery store workers, the teachers who busted their butts for online schooling, the gas station workers, etc. thank you guys for working so I can still have food and gas!

  7. Anna

Don’t forget all those in the grocery stores, grocery delivery services, truckers and restaurants workers who also been on the front lines to help keep you stocked and fed.

  8. SocialJustice

If we’re going to do this front line should be first, GenZ social justice talking point cr*p, then Military should come before Medical. Without them none of us are safe. So Military first, then Garbage people, without them we’d all die of something. After those two groups are allowed first it should be Police and Fire as they keep us safe and healthy. So after that first year and those three groups, we should obviously for social justice reasons, allow Post Office, UPS, FedEx ppl in because they delivered the equipment needed for medial. Then after them we allow medical in – so our hearts feel good. I’m so happy to go in 2 years back to WDW after all the “should be first” groups are allowed in because Josh darn it, social justice should be the winner at all times.

Boy did you open up Pandora’s Box by making a nice suggestion! That will teach you!?

First off, thank you to everyone who has still been working through this out there. Not every person is a nurse or doctor but an essential worker like the grocery store clerk who checks out your items and is also risking their life to serve you. A huge percentage of essential workers include the truck drivers who are working on the double to bring in more goods to hospitals and grocery stores etc. Let’s not forget the danger that still and always will exist on the road as well for them. Everyone is trying their best to work through this. I, myself am always offended to hear thanks go out to just nurses and doctors. There hasn’t been one day that my family has had off. My mom and I work in a hospital for 3 surgeons and we are constantly seeing patients every day for long long hours and a lot of patients are coming straight from the ER after having surgery even with the covid virus. My mom is a thyroid CA survivor and therefore is suceptable to getting very sick from this virus but she doesn’t get any choice to stay home and doesn’t complain about going to work. As a nurse or doctor you sign up for things like this and I have many friends who are nurses and doctors and understand that. Just like a soldier who gives their freedom for yours and understands the real possibility of never coming back, they are prepared. I think it’s right to thank EVERY person who has still been working regardless of title.

You do realize that most first responders after seeing this pandemic will be totally cautious of going to a theme park, especially as the guinea pigs right? We’ve seen how this virus can take a whole family down… I love a dear friend and her father, 2 funerals a week apart.

  12. Matt Brewster

Not only should health care workers get first “shot” at the parks- perhaps with special days reserved just for them- but they should be admitted FOR FREE!!! They most certainly have earned it.

  15. Wow! Come on guys! Anyone that couldn’t stay at home and still had to work out in the public are all heroes in there own way!!!!!!! My hats off to all of you! I was fortunate and got to stay home!!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart no matter the job!!!!!!!!

Listen, that’s nice and all….I’m a surgical technologist and yes, this is exactly what I wanted to do since I was a little girl! Help people, sick people! In surgery! I am eternally grateful for everyone! This has been a tough thing to go through at all ends of the spectrum! But….I don’t think that Disney should open up first to healthcare workers! It is a nice gesture! It does not seem fair to others! Just my opinion!
