We only stay off property when there is no chance of availability and to date nothing has ever compared to the magic the Disney properties add to your vacation.
Once upon a time I would have said yes, I would. But now I’m hooked on the resorts-mostly for the early perks I get. I guess if they are even suspecting they might not open some, they should start limiting where they accept reservations right now-I can see where it’d get messy trying to go back and cancel some already booked. And I purposely booked on a skyliner run hotel…I ask myself what I’d do if they closed that transportation and those particular resorts…
Did I read that correctly? You said in the article that good neighbor hotels could offer early entrance to the parks. I never knew that was an option. I ALWAYS stay off property and only stay at the resort hotels for special occasions. Makes them more magical in my opinion. But if they say that you get a guaranteed reservation into the parks if you stay at a resort hotel, much like they did for Galaxy’s Edge opening then I would gladly stay at a resort hotel on my first trip back to the Disneyland Resort.
Hi Ray! If you choose to stay off-property at Disneyland, you can get early access to the parks when you book a vacation package with the Magic Morning ticket option (for a three-day ticket or more).
Hi! There are several hotels that are not owned by Disney but offer the same benefits as Disney-owned resorts. We added the link to these hotels within the article so you can view the list of Disney-approved hotels that offer benefits like Extra Magic Hours.
NO! Been there, done that and it won’t happen again. Even at good neighbor hotels there is too much unprofessionalism and lack of caring. If I can’t stay at a Disney resort, I will stay home until I can. Call me spoiled, but the atmosphere, the special attention, no long rides to the parks all keeps you in the Disney spirit that you lose the minute you step into an off property room.

Staying of property is not an option for me, I love all the resorts love the Disney bubble and I’m hopeful that in time it will all return to normal
