Basin is excited to share that the their location at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida will reopen to the public on May 20th, 2020. This means they will be a part of the first phase of reopening storefronts at Disney Springs. In an email to Inside the Magic they have said, “In coordination with Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts, we will be operating from 10am – 10pm and implementing precautions to keep our employees and guests safe and healthy. We encourage guests to review the Disney Springs precautions before they arrive!”

One of the most popular retail stores at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida is Basin: Bath & Beauty Store. Known for their luscious concoctions of natural shampoo, soap, body scrub, bath bomb, bath salts, body butter, and more, Basin attracts locals and visitors on their Disney vacation to pick up a bath souvenir to take home. As Disney Springs, starts a phased reopening on May 20th with some of their dining and retail storefronts, many are wondering if Basin will be opening again soon.
As soon as the announcement came that Disney Springs was going to start a phased reopening on May 2oth, Disney fans all over started to get excited. It’s a glimmer of hope that we will be back to shopping, dinner, and live music with friends and family soon. Even though we aren’t able to get back into the Disney parks yet, this is a step in the right direction.
Deliveries are starting to arrive at Disney Springs which means they are working diligently to prepare for the first of reopenings in just a week’s time. Not all of the restaurants will be open, but you can check to see which ones are here.
In a statement to Inside the Magic, unfortunately, there is still no definitive date as to when Basin will be opening up again.
“We don’t have any immediate news on reopening, but we’ll be happy to share when we do. We’re doing everything we can to take all safety precautions for our employees and guests first and foremost. When we have updates, we will be sure to pass them along,” Basin said.
Since Disney Springs is doing a phased reopening, Basin reopening could be one of the later phases. Many of their products are in open jars and barrels so it may be a matter of finding a better procedure to ensure the safety of all employees and guests. With Shanghai Disneyland starting their reopening, and Disney Springs soon starting, it’s like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. We can all start to dream about visiting the Disney Resort of our choice to ride our favorite attraction and checking out new merchandise.
