I guarantee you that at least part of the low box office draw was the inclusion of an openly gay character for the first time in a Disney animated film. Many parents are just not going to bring their children to it for that reason. Even before that announcement though, I had very little interest in seeing the film based on the trailers. After the announcement I was certainly not going to give Disney money to forward the agenda of presenting all forms of sexual choices to children.
