Non-Disney Restaurants Closing at Downtown Disney District

You know, looking back, it really did feel too good to be true. When concerns about the continued spread of the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 led the Walt Disney Company to announce the closure of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, they originally said the retail and dining districts would stay open. Unfortunately, now we know that is now the case.

On March 16, 2020, Disney announced the closure of all Disney-owned-and-operated establishments at Downtown Disney in California. But now, it appears that even the non-Disney shops and restaurants are planning on closing down.

Here is the list of those shops and restaurants we have so far along with their official statement:

Closing date: 9:00 p.m. March 16, 2020

We will continue to monitor communication from the CDC, local health organizations and our partners at the Disneyland Resort and make updates here as new information becomes available.

Catal Restaurant & UVA Bar

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Closing date: March 16, 2020

Official Statement:

Splitsville Luxury Lanes will temporarily close today at 4 p.m. Along with the Walt Disney Company and our neighbors at Downtown Disney, we are monitoring the developments of the COVID-19 situation and are taking all the recommended precautions and directives. We will continue to update our hours of operation as we have new information to share. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and we look forward to welcoming you back soon to #RollInRockOut.

La Brea Bakery Cafe

Closing Date: March 16, 2020

Official Statement:

Through March 31, our La Brea Bakery Cafe in Los Angeles will remain open with the option to order to-go or delivery only. Our Downtown Disney location will be temporarily closed until further notice. Above all else, we value the well-being of our community and hope everyone is staying calm and safe.⠀
