As many of us are indoors for the time being, arts and crafts are a good way to pass the time. As a Disney fan, of course, Disney crafts would be extra fun! There are many fun craft ideas out there on Disney Family, and this one is fun, easy, and useful.

Winnie the Pooh Coasters

Disney Family released a simple Disney DIY, coasters! Winnie the Pooh coasters, to be exact. Winnie the Pooh is such an adorable classic Disney character full of colors that can brighten up your home. This DIY project only requires a few supplies which is what makes it so easy, as well as, the fact that waiting for the paint to dry is the most time consuming part of the project.

We’ve included the steps for this DIY below, courtesy of Disney Family:

What You’ll Need

  • Thin cork tiles
  • Black felt tip pen
  • Scissors
  • White, yellow, and black acrylic paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Decoupage glue

How To Make It

  1. Use a pen to draw a Winnie the Pooh outline onto the cork. (We took inspiration from the Winnie the Pooh Tsum Tsum shape.) Cut out the shapes. Note: Depending on how thick the cork is, you may need heavy-duty scissors.

  2. Paint a white base coat onto each coaster. Let dry completely. Add a layer of yellow paint. The paint tends to soak into the cork, so you may need two coats of yellow. Let dry completely.

  3. Once dry, draw Winnie the Pooh’s facial features onto each coaster. Paint over the pen, using a thin brush and black paint.

  4. Once all of the paint is dry, cover the entire coaster in a coat of decoupage glue to help keep your design sealed. Let dry completely overnight before using.

Winnie the Pooh and Friends

These coasters look like the images of the characters from the Disney Tsum Tsums. Looking at the coasters and other Tsum Tsums, it inspires more craft ideas. If you didn’t want to have an identical Winnie the Pooh set of coasters, you could give Pooh, friends for some company. You can complete the entire Winnie the Pooh and friends set of coasters just by changing out the paint colors and ear shapes. Next thing you know, you have Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore!
