Last week, Disney Parks & Resorts announced that Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Disney World in Orlando, Florida will both be closed until further notice. Now, the team at Disney has issued the same statement for Disneyland Paris located in Marne le Vallee just outside of Paris, France.

The official statement from the DLP website can be seen below:

The Disneyland Paris extended closure notice states that “The safety and well-being of our Guests and employees remains Disneyland Paris’ top priority. As a result of this unprecedent [sic] pandemic and in line with government measures, Disneyland Paris will remain closed until further notice.”

Disney also shared the following Tweet:

This news is not overly surprising in light of France’s recently heightened social distancing and confinement guidelines. Disney has closely followed all government restrictions and medical advice in regard to theme park closures around the world.

Both Disney World and Disneyland have recently announced special offers for Guests affected by the sudden park closures. There is no word yet on whether or not Disneyland Paris will provide guests with similar incentives.

For now, DLP’s website informs travelers, “If you wish to maintain your current booking conditions, you can benefit from our rebooking offer: If you hold a booking with an arrival up to June 30th, 2020, you have the possibility to rebook at the same price until May 15th, 2020 for an arrival before October 1st, 2020.”

This rebooking policy applies only to those whose Disneyland Paris vacations were booked directly through the Walt Disney Travel Company. Anyone who book through a travel agent or online travel website must contact their original source for rebooking assistance.

Although there has been no confirmation from Disney Parks executives, there are some indications that the U.S. Disney theme parks will reopen on or around June 1. Walt Disney World’s website is now allowing resort reservations starting on that date and Disneyland Resort’s special hotel offer starts with June 1 arrivals.
