We are getting reports of new theme park construction taking place in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort.
This Disney Parks construction is part of the continued work currently being done in Tomorrowland in order to bring back that classic Tomorrowland feel rather than the “New” Tomorrowland 1994 look.
But now, it looks as though construction has moved over to the walkway that connects Tomorrowland to Main Street U.S.A. — The one with the infamous Purple Wall.
The good news is that The Purple Wall is currently still accessible to Disney guests who want to utilize this pathway to travel between Tomorrowland and Main Street U.S.A. or to stop and take a photo in front of the famous Purple Wall, though the lighting may be a bit off.
Due to the new construction, the lighting in the area of The Purple Wall has been impacted, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still stop for a photo! Try using a flash or even an Instagram filter to brighten up those photos and they will look good as new.
The Purple Wall is so popular for Instagram worthy photos, or just family photos in general, because of the art backdrop. There are technically two parts to this Purple Wall — The one that closely resembles the look of Spaceship Earth (pictured above) and the one with just a single shade of purple (pictured below).
Both portions of the art wall make for a great backdrop for photos, so even though this construction is taking place, be sure to stop by the purple wall art for a quick picture before playing in the theme park.
