Disney recently announced they were extending the popular Free Dining offer they had released earlier this year to guests who were directly affected by the Walt Disney World Resort closures due to the current global health concerns. We just learned that this offer will also apply to affected Annual Passholders.
A Walt Disney World Resort traveler who was directly impacted by the closures, shared with us an email exchange with Disney where she asked about the Annual Passholder eligibility for this offer.
In the email exchange, Theresa reached out to Disney and asked: “I just received the email about the special dining package, but am I correct that as a Passholder I can’t take advantage of it since I don’t need tickets? My only option is to book with the existing AP summer room discount?”
Theresa shared with us that Disney replied quickly to her inquiry with the following message:
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort!
While you are welcome to book the Special Summer Offer for a new vacation since your original reservation was scheduled during the effected dates of travel, you will be unable to use the Annual Passholder discount with this offer and you will have to add tickets with a minimum of 2 days.
If you choose to purchase this package you can apply the ticket amount towards your Annual Passholder renewal/purchase.

Similar to previous Free Dining offers pertaining to Annual Passholders, the theme park tickets the offer requires must be purchased. However, Annual Passholders can apply the unused ticket cost and apply that towards their annual pass renewal or purchase if they choose to do so.
Currently, the resort is closed until further notice and only accepting reservations for June 1st or later. According to the official Walt Disney World Resort website, any Disney-imposed change or cancellation fees are being waved up to the date of the check-in for reservations with arrival through June 30th.
If you booked your Disney Resort vacation or room reservation between March 16- May 31st, you can take advantage of this special offer. To update your reservation, you can reach out directly to Disney by calling 407-939-4251. However, if you booked with a travel agent, be sure to reach out to them directly for assistance modifying your reservation.
