For those of you looking to visit Walt Disney World at the start of April, heads up! There’s been a change to the Magic Kingdom’s Park hours which affected the schedule for Extra Magic Hours.

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

The Magic Kingdom’s park hours are now extended from 9 pm to 10 pm. This means that the extra magic hours are pushed back, beginning at 10 pm and end at Midnight rather than the original schedule of 9 pm to 11 pm. The Magic Kingdom’s fireworks spectacular, “Happily Ever After” is still scheduled to run at 9 pm.

Thursday, April 2, 2020 – Sunday, April 5, 2020

The Magic Kingdom’s park hours were also extended to 10 pm on April 2, 3, and 4. However, the Extra Magic Hours on Friday, April 3, 2020, take place before the park opens in the morning and are therefore unaffected by the extended park hours. The extra magic hours will be held from 8 am to 9 am. The Magic Kingdom will return to a post-fireworks 9 pm closing time on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

The Magic Kingdom also plans to host a special event in the morning. Fantasyland will host a Disney Early Morning Magic Event from 7:45 am to 9 am on Thursday, April 2, 2020, and Sunday, April 5, 2020.
