Are you kidding with the “most fans would welcome a new Nightmare story”? I think not. Nightmare is an almost perfect piece, and doesn’t need a sequel. I can only think that Disney is going to mess it up.

I swear there was a similar article about a year ago. It’s well documented that ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ won’t get a sequel without Tim Burton’s say so – it is quinessentially Burton in style. A ‘live-action’ would definitely not go down well. I think a sequel of any kind is too late now, and would ruin what is now a cult classic. The only way that it would potentially have any chance would be if it was done in stop-motion, which just adds to the allure of the movie. It is one of my favourites and can honestly say I don’t want a sequel, remake, or anything (maybe a Broadway musical, but only because then I can potentially play Jack one day). We don’t need remakes, we don’t need sequels, we need original stories with new characters to fall in love with and new journeys to go on, not rehashes that are almost always subpar to the originals.

No please do not both that and frakenweenie are his babies and we know how much burton hates sequels! These are classics and tech arent disney movies they were disturbed by but burton owns rights they are still his so case closed cant do anything!! I would be up for a musical version and now that beetlejuice became one i doubt we will see anything holding back nightmare… its literally a movie musical to a pt! And now the tech on Broadway is there that wasn’t before it could def be pulled off!

Do. Something. New. I am so tired of sequels and live action movies. Has Disney run out of ideas and imagination!

I would like more a sequel of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ in Live Action rather than a remake, as long as there is such music:
Making Christmas, This Is Halloween and Oogie Boogie Song; and also Oogie Boogie resurrected. I would love to see Jack Skellington in his Pumpkin King form sending flames against Oogie Boogie or other enemies as in ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge’.

This is something my wife and I have discussed for years as we are diehard Nightmare and Burton fans we have wanted to see Burton do just a mini series or short films of Jack’s adventures through all of the other doors in the holiday forest ? just to see his take on those or even possibly other Nightmare characters go through the doors ? but also understand the quandary of the opening of the film versus when Jack goes through the forest notice the film opens with the Pumpkin ? door ? but it isn’t in the forest when Jack gets there leading us to believe that there is a way for others to enter Halloween Town

I think it would pay a good homage to the film if the sequel was made in stop motion too. No Cgi or actors needed. Except voice actors of course
