Credit: DisneyWe have another update regarding how coronavirus is affecting Disney vacations. This time, the update is regarding Disney Cruise Line, as numerous Bahamas ports are limiting disembarkation due to the spread of the viral disease.
As reported by the Disney Cruise Line Blog, guests who were sailing on the Disney Dream over the weekend received a letter in their stateroom regarding how the Bahamas are handling the threat of coronavirus. The letter notified passengers of the travel restrictions in place in the Bahamas. In short, the islands are limiting the disembarkation of cruise passengers (aboard Disney Cruise Line and other ships) who have been to China within the past few weeks.

“The Bahamas will NOT allow anyone to disembark in a Bahamian port of call if they have been to mainland China in the past 20 days,” the notice stated.
This means that Disney Cruise Line guests who have been to mainland China within the past 2-3 weeks are not allowed to disembark at Nassau or Castaway Cay, the two Disney Cruise ports of call located in the Bahamas.

So far, we don’t know if the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wonder, and Disney Magic will be affected beyond the boarding and disembarkation restrictions currently in place, but we will update Inside the Magic when we know more information.
Keep in mind that all Disney destinations around the world continue to monitor the spread of coronavirus. Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, and all Disney Resort hotels maintain guest safety as their top priority. That’s why policies like this are currently in place to protect guests and Cast Members from the ongoing threat of coronavirus.
