That’s right, thanks to all of this Disney magic, it’s officially the holiday season in the theme parks and starting today, November 8, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will introduce the biggest holiday season in the park yet! After being open for almost two-decades, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will debut new festive entertainment and holiday décor in every land.
That’s right, Disney guests can experience the magic in all the lands in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as they each will have their own unique festivities for the upcoming holiday season!
Discovery Island will host life-sized animal puppets throughout the day and then as the sun sets, the Tree of Life will show off a glistening and shimmering new look. As the Tree of Life comes to life it will show a series of wintry tales along with a beautiful holiday musical score. Discovery Island is the place to be this holiday season, whether it is day or night.
Meanwhile, over in DinoLand, U.S.A., Donald Duck and his friends will gather around for an unforgettable party. Get into the holiday spirit with holiday decor and some of your favorite Disney characters for Donald’s Dino-Bash.
Over in Asia, Disney guests can celebrate Diwali, the Holiday Festival of Lights in India. While visiting this section of the theme park, guests will see amazing glowing lanterns which light up the main area leading to the waterfront stage, which is home to one-of-a-kind cultural performances.
Continuing on into Africa, Disney guests will be welcomed with a unique holiday presentation which intertwines Western traditions along with authentic Africans celebration colors and textures.
Also beginning today, Disney guests can celebrate the holiday season with fun, out-of-this-world celebrations in Pandora – The World of Avatar. Pandora is rolling out the holiday cheer with a whimsical display of holiday décor, which merges vintage pieces from Earth and handcrafted from Pandora.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will also have their Christmas tree on display, which towers over the park entrance.
