We’re right in the middle of summer in Florida, and we won’t be seeing those cooler weather days anytime soon. Lucky for us, Disney recently installed more refillable water fountains at Walt Disney World, making it easy (and free!) to stay hydrated in the Orlando summer heat.
The latest installment of refillable water bottle stations is now located at Magic Kingdom. If you head over to Tomorrowland’s iconic dining location Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, you’ll find the new water fountain there.
The new water fountain doubles as both a traditional drinking fountain and a refillable water bottle station, which provides guests with clean, filtered water. You can even tell how many plastic water bottles the station has saved by looking at the number of refills that have taken place from the station since it was installed. This is indicated on a number located on the light-up screen in the top right corner of the water station.
We love finding out ways to save money on a Walt Disney World vacation, as it can be difficult to justify spending money or snack credits on water bottles. Many Disney fans already know that you can go to almost any quick service dining location that has a soda fountain and ask for a free cup of ice water. But often, your cup of water is restricted to a smaller size, and you still end up creating waste by throwing away your water cup in the trash. Refillable water stations like this new one at Cosmic Ray’s works to combat waste by allowing you to bring your own empty water bottle to the theme parks and refill it with fresh, clean water yourself.
Be sure to bring your own empty, refillable water bottle to Magic Kingdom on your next Walt Disney World trip so you can test out the convenience of this new water fountain at Cosmic Ray’s.
