Over the weekend, Disneyland Paris hosted its first-ever pride event at Walt Disney Studios Park, which included the park’s first-ever pride parade. The prideful celebration was filled with eye-catching rainbow-attire, decor and inclusion of all!
Last Saturday, Disneyland Paris celebrated its first-ever official LGBT+ event, Magical Pride! The proud and prideful event let park guests all come together to live their best life and shine with the joy of diversity at a dazzling party that took over the entire theme park.
The experience not only allowed visitors to hang out with their favorite Disney characters, enjoy thrilling attractions late into the night, get all dolled up with a flashy hairstyle and rainbow manicure, but it also included the theme park’s first-ever pride parade and it was a celebration to remember!
The parade featured a spectacle of hundreds of marchers in rainbow t-shirts, colorful floats, rainbow balloons pieced together to resemble that of Mickey icon heads, and characters from major Disney films like “Aladdin,” “Toy Story,” “Ratatouille,” and “Lilo & Stitch.”
Mickey and Minnie also showed their support of the event in fashionable pride outfits while riding in a car decorated with rainbows and hearts. Later that day, the characters posed for photos alongside their Disney friends Genie, Woody, and Buzz Lightyear.
Other celebrations found at the specially ticketed event included a Magic Lip Sync-Along competition, performances from French disco star Corine and British band Years & Years. The Olly Alexander-fronted group covered “Reflection” from the Disney animated classic “Mulan” and the celebration also included a lineup of festivities with DJ sets from SindyKatz and Boy George.
It is not yet known if Disneyland Paris will be hosting another Pride event in the future.
