Have you ever wanted to dine like royalty while on your Disney vacation? Well, you don’t have to lust after those Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest reservations anymore. Now, you can truly feel like a king or queen at a luxurious dinner set in Walt Disney World’s most exclusive neighborhood: Golden Oak.
That’s right. Disney now offers the opportunity to have a magical meal located inside Golden Oak, “a magnificent residential community representing the very best in timeless luxury,” as stated on the official website. Golden Oak is a community of family homes on Walt Disney World property, minutes away from the theme parks. This is where the ultimate Disney fans can live out their dreams of never leaving their favorite place. But you don’t have to be a resident of Golden Oak to experience some of its amazing amenities. With Delicious Disney: A Chef Series, guests can get a taste of luxury on Walt Disney World property.
On select dates from March 25 through July 30, guests are invited to dine among award-winning culinarians and sommeliers to experience a themed meal like no other. This series is hosted at Disney’s Golden Oak in a restaurant on the property’s private clubhouse, Markham’s, and is just a few minutes drive away from Magic Kingdom (that’s right: you can see fireworks from Golden Oak every night). The premise of these events is storytelling with food: each dinner is set to a unique theme and invites guests to experience cuisine and wine in a new, enticing way. For the first event, guests experienced the whimsy and magic of Disney’s “Dumbo” in a variety of flavorful dishes, including the two below.
Of course, an event like this will cost you. Prices start at $349 per person and reservations are highly recommended. Take a look at the schedule of upcoming Delicious Disney events at Golden Oak below. Remember that these events, while not as well-known as the rest, can still be booked up as reservations are limited. We recommend calling Walt Disney World at (407) 939-5773 to book.
