Renowned Chef Nelly Robinson’s Australian restaurant Nel has sparked controversy with Disney fans thanks to its rather odd new menu offerings. The gourmet eatery located in Sydney, Australia is home to this unique immersive eating experience called Once Upon A Time that draws inspiration from the darker side of classic Disney, including the main course called “Bambi‘s Mom”, a venison steak served with shell casings full of seasoning on a bed of blood-red beet juice.
The 11-course menu is available for a limited time, starting this week and going through June 29th, with seatings priced at $118 per person, with a $95 additional for wine pairings. The restaurant Nel. has a mission to bring it’s guests “a unique dining experience like no other…” with it’s over the top presentations and clever culinary concoctions.
The full list of the 11 courses are:
- Spoonful of Sugar
- Telling Porky Pies
- Tick Tock
- French Lumiere
- Under the sea
- Bippity Boppity Boo
- Kiss the Tramp
- Bambi’s Mum
