Spring is in the air at Walt Disney World, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a trip to a Disney water park! Some new experiences and special offers are making a splash at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon this spring. Keep reading to find out why you should add a trip (or two!) to the Walt Disney World water parks to your spring break Disney vacation.

Fin-tastic food

Walt Disney World Water Park different types of food on a table

Disney fans travel far and wide to visit Walt Disney World for attractions, experiences, and (you guessed it!) food. But did you know that the Walt Disney World water parks are becoming dining destinations, too? You’ll be flipping your fins after reading about all these delicious goodies you’ll find at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

If you love comfort food, head over to Blizzard Beach and try the Blizzard Burger. This epic burger is everything we could ever want for lunch on vacation: it’s a classic burger topped with cheddar cheese and sweet and smoky ham-jam, all on a pretzel bun, served with coleslaw and steak fries. What more could you ask for? For the plant-based or healthy eaters, try the veggie rice bowls. And everyone can end their day with a milkshake (chocolate, vanilla, salted caramel, or peppermint) or a slice of chocolate-dipped key lime pie, fitting for those sunny, springtime days in Florida.

Is Typhoon Lagoon your water park of choice? No problem. Celebrate spring break with a flight of guacamole, which comes with vegetable, pineapple bacon, and shrimp varieties of this classic snack. There’s a meal to fit everyone’s preferences here, from the jerk chicken rice bowl to the plant-based bratwurst sandwich. And there’s no better way to chill out on a sunny day than by sipping a Blue Typhoon Colada or a Tropical Storm after a ride on the Crush ‘n’ Gusher.

Deals that make a big splash

That’s right: Disney is offering a pretty amazing way you can save money on your next trip to the water parks. For the first time ever, Disney has created the Splash Pack, a value bundle of food, beverages, and collectible souvenirs for water park guests to enjoy. The Splash Pack, available for purchase on water park visits from March 26 – May 4, costs $44 per person and includes select food entrees and dessert options, a refillable Disney Water Park mug, and a souvenir towel for guests to take home with them. Guests will also be able to choose which towel design they want: Mickey Mouse, “Lilo and Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Toy Story.” While the cost is just under $50 per person, it is a 20% savings off what the food and merchandise would cost if you purchased each item individually, so this may be worth it for your family if you are traveling in a smaller group or with just one other person. Splash Packs are available for purchase at Singapore Sal’s at Typhoon Lagoon or the Beach Haus at Blizzard Beach.

So how can you add a day at the water park to your Disney vacation?

Typhoon Lagoon

Three words: Park Hopper Plus. If you’re able to, swing for the Park Hopper Plus option when purchasing your Walt Disney World theme park tickets. The Park Hopper Plus option will give you access to all four theme parks and two water parks as many times as you want for as many days as your tickets are valid. This is a great option if you have enough time to visit both water parks during your vacation. If you’re only able to choose one water park, no problem. Just purchase tickets online when you’re purchasing your theme park tickets.
