Beginning November 8, 2018, guests driving to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be using a new vehicle entrance to access the Walt Disney World theme park.
The new entrance and exit for Disney’s Hollywood Studios are located off Osceola Parkway. The current main entrance, located off World Drive and Osceola Parkway, will be used exclusively for Disney Cast Members, while the satellite entrance on Buena Vista Drive will be used for buses.
When the change goes into effect, drivers can look for updated roadway signs throughout Walt Disney World Resort to direct them to the new entrance. Those coming from southbound Victory Way can access a connecting road leading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This change comes as Disney’s Hollywood Studios prepares for an exciting year. In 2019, the park celebrates its 30th anniversary and welcomes the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The new land takes guests to the planet Batuu, where they’ll be immersed in a “Star Wars” experience. In addition to new attractions, a Star Wars resort connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge continues the immersive experience for fans of the space saga.
While guests eagerly await Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney’s Hollywood Studios also welcomed Toy Story Land this summer. The new land inspired by the “Toy Story” films includes the new attractions Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers, and the fan-favorite Toy Story Mania!. The land has proven to be a popular spot since opening in June and now our “Toy Story” pals are gearing up for their first holiday season. Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear will don some festive holiday attire starting November 8, when seasonal celebrations kick off at Walt Disney World.
With holiday celebrations, Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and its upcoming 30th anniversary, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is heading into a busy year. According to Disney, the new vehicle entrance at the park should “make it easier and more convenient to come and go.”
