Sixty-three years ago yesterday, Walt’s Disney’s original Magic Kingdom– Disneyland— first opened its doors to guests. And now every year on the anniversary, Mickey Mouse and an appropriate number of his friends join thousands of fans along Main Street, USA and in Town Square for a celebration commemorating the birthday of the Happiest Place on Earth!

In honor of Disneyland’s 63rd birthday, I spent the day exploring the park, riding a few opening-day attractions, enjoying the festivities, and shooting the latest installment of our ongoing semi-weekly series “INSIDE Disneyland Resort.” Enjoy!
