In addition to the newly announced Rivers of Light Dessert Party, there are plenty of other new food options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Choose from the new Pizzafari Family-Style Dining Experience, the two-course lunch menu at Tiffins, or various tempting treats found throughout the park.
Pizzafari Family-Style Dining Experience and new quick-service options
Starting July 31, guests at Pizzafari can enjoy the classic quick-service menu or the new Family-Style Dining Experience. This new Italian feast, delivered right to your table, is offered in two dining rooms at the restaurant. The meal includes Caprese Salad and Caesar Salad to start; three entrees, including pizza, pasta, and chicken dishes; and a dessert. Non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price of the meal, and beer and wine are available for separate purchase. Drink orders are placed during check-in before your group is seated.
The Pizzafari Family-Style Dining Experience is offered daily between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM starting July 31. Reservations are open now at the Walt Disney World website or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Pricing is $19.99 for guests aged 10+ and $11.99 for guests aged 3 – 9, including tax. This experience is a 1 QSR Redemption on the Disney Dining Plan.
Classic round pizzas have also returned to Pizzafari, with Cheese, Pepperoni, Vegetable, and Sausage & Pepperoni options. The Shrimp Flatbread is also still available.
Each of these quick-service options can be paired with a Caesar Salad (with or without chicken), fresh-baked Garlic Knots, and the Cannoli Cake, a decadent slice of chocolate cake topped with a mini cannoli.
New lunch menu at Tiffins Restaurant
Tiffins has a new two-course lunch menu, which includes your choice of an appetizer and an entree or an entree and a dessert. Appetizer options include Spiced Chickpea Falafel or Apple Walnut Salad; entrees include Paella, Wagyu Beef Tagine, or Roasted Chicken Breast; and dessert includes South American Chocolate Ganache and Guava Mousse.
The new lunch menu is served from 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM daily and costs $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity. It counts as 2 TSR meals on the Disney Dining Plan. Reservations are available at the Walt Disney World website or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Walk-ups are welcome as well.
Inspired by Donald Duck, find the Donald’s Dino-Bash! Cupcake at Dino Diner in DinoLand USA. This vanilla cupcake is filled with lemon-flavored white chocolate mousse and topped with buttercream, crispy pearls, and a red fondant bow.
For something heartier, try the new Italian Sausage Hoagie, which includes a broiled Italian sausage, sauteed onions and peppers, and a side of potato chips.
Also in DinoLand USA, try the new Grilled Chicken Salad with Summer Berries (pictured below), the Breaded Shrimp served with French Fries, or the Shrimp & Chicken served with French Fries.
Flame Tree Barbecue
Stop by Flame Tree Barbecue on Discovery Island for the new Banana Maple Cake, a vanilla chiffon cake with banana maple mousse and topped with white chocolate glaze and crunchy meringue.
Visit Harambe Market in Africa for the new Pork Sausage with curried onion relish on naan bread, served with black-eyed pea salad. You can also sample the Roasted Vegetables with cauliflower, sweet potato, and chickpeas served over steamed rice with yogurt raita. For dessert, try the Safari Cake, a chocolate-coated coconut cake with pineapple-coconut mousse.
Visit Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar to try the new Build-Your-Own-Bowl options. Joining the protein menu, there’s the Combination Bowl with grilled beef and chicken with two new base selections: Hearty Salad or Rice and Beans.
Find the “Up”-inspired Cake Pop at Warung Outpost in Asia. Featuring layers of “earth” chocolate cake, green and blue buttercream, and crispy white chocolate balloons, this tasty treat will surely lift your spirits.
Finally, you can find this cute new Animal Kingdom Canteen at several locations throughout the park. It’s available at Mahindi Popcorn, The Feeding Ground, and most Ice Cream Carts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
