Roughly a year after first being announced at D23 Expo 2017, opening weekend of Pixar Pier has now come and gone at Disney California Adventure. Local Annual Passholders and Southern California tourists alike flocked to Disneyland Resort to check out the Pixar Animation Studios-inspired area on Saturday when it first began welcoming guests, and ticketed attendees enjoyed the exclusive premiere party the night before.
That’s why Episode 7 of our new semi-weekly video series “INSIDE Disneyland Resort” is devoted almost entirely to walking through Pixar Pier, pointing out some of the notable changes from its previous iteration as Paradise Pier, and evaluating the newly-rethemed land as it stands today, with more additions coming through 2019.

In the video above I also touch on the closure of Downtown Disney District’s Rainforest Cafe, the remodeling of World of Disney, and Disneyland’s 55th anniversary merchandise for the classic Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room attraction.
Pixar Pier is now officially open at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
