Wine Bar George, a new eatery promising to bring “Old World” charm to Disney Springs, is opening a little later than expected. The opening was previously reported for late 2017, but the wine bar is now scheduled to open its doors in early 2018.
In the meantime, the restaurant is now hiring for all positions. Interviews are scheduled to begin in the fall, and interested candidates can visit the Wine Bar George website to submit applications.
Master Sommelier George Miliotes is making appearances at a number of events this fall:
- Epcot Food & Wine Festival Beverage Seminar on September 11
- National Chocolate Day celebrations on September 13 at Four Seasons Resort Orlando – Join Miliotes and Four Seasons Resort Orlando Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber for a decadent dessert buffet with specialty wines
- Epcot Food & Wine Festival Party for the Senses on September 23
- Epcot Food & Wine Festival event with STK on October 20 – Enjoy some wild wines at this STK rooftop party

When the 210-seat Wine Bar George opens in 2018, it will include small plates, cheese and charcuterie designed to complement the wine list.
