    This sounds a bit familiar.
When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, my family took vacations near Lake George, NY. There was a theme park there called “StoryTown USA” (now known as “Great Escape,” a Six Flags Park) and the park had an immersive old West area, also known as ‘Ghost Town.’ (In fact, it still does, according to their website.) It was run by Marshall Wild Windy Bill McKay, who would deputize all the kids and lead them in catching bank robbers and things like that. So this sort of thing has been around for a while. In a way, it’s a return to a more theatrical experience. Of course, I’m sure Disney’s will be considerably more technologically advanced.
