Disney don’t usually…DO well with the Internet, when they try to do what everyone else does. Go.com was an early casualty of the Dot-Com bust, and they recently busted one or two other mobile-game companies they tried to acquire.
Twitter’s too absorbed into our modern society for even Disney to kill it off by re-branding it, but you never know…
No one will want to use Twitter any more if Disney buys it. Don’t do it!
This could be a good marriage. Go.Com died because like most of the ,coms then it was badly run. Twitter’s issue is revenue from advertising. If Disney were to acquire Twitter and keep a hands off everything but fixing the revenue issue it could work for both. I agree with one of the above posters about Disney’s track record on companies it bought so far. Even today I am assuming that Disney’s web page is being run by 3rd party contractors because of the incredible lag from their servers and outright going down in recent months.
